End of Year Check List

Lunch Accounts must be PAID IN FULL. Please check your emails/spam folders and backpacks for notices.
Lost Book Fines must be PAID IN FULL. 5/13 and 5/16 are the last of days of library checkout. All books must be turned in by the last week of school.
Medications must be picked up by a parent or guardian on or before the last day of school or it will be disposed of; we cannot store any meds over the summer.
Yearbooks will be distributed on the 2nd last day of school, Thursday, May 26th, to those students who purchased one. All other students will receive a free autograph booklet. Students will enjoy an autograph signing time that day.
Card My Yard PLCC will have Card My Yard set up from Wed. 5/25 afternoon - Thur. 5/26 8pm or 9pm. Teachers will take last day photos with each of their students and send it to their parent(s). Families are also welcome to take their own photos before and after school that day.

Meet Our New PE Teacher!

Hello, my name is Mr. Steele! I have been teaching PE for 6 years and come to Rockbrook and Prairie Lane from All Saints Catholic School here in Omaha. My wife Lindsey and I got married last May, and we live here in District 66. I am extremely excited to get to know all of the wonderful students and families of Rockbrook and Prairie Lane, and I look forward to this fall!

New Adventures For Mr. Glanzer!

As you may have heard, Mr. Glanzer, our PE Teacher will be retiring after this year after 30 years of service to Westside!

"Thanks to all you parents and staff for making my Elementary experience wonderful. I have enjoyed working with the kids and seeing them progress from kindergarten up to high school! We've had so many go on to do great things and it's rewarding to know we as elementary teachers have had an impact on their lives! I plan to continue my painting and handyman business as well as working at the golf course in Okoboji! I've been offered a job being a project manager so time will tell!"

We want to wish Mr. Glanzer well in these new adventures and hope to see him around the course!

We will have an afternoon of fun, outside games at Prairie Lane for grades K-6. If you would like to volunteer to assist or donate, please link here.

Each grade has a shirt color assigned to wear:

K-Green

1- White

2-Yellow

3-Orange

4-Red

5-Blue

6-Black

REMEMBER

*Wear tennis shoes

*Bring your water bottle (labeled with your name)

*Bring a towel (labeled with your name). There will be WATER GAMES if weather permits!

*Bring sunscreen

Spectators are invited and we ask that you sit on the bleachers or along the outside edges of the field.

Dismissal will occur as usual: walkers, pick up car line and buses for the safety of our students. You must communicate any dismissal changes to your child’s teacher by May 18th.

2022-2023 Prairie Lane Community Club Officers

The Prairie Lane Community Club is looking for officers for the 2022-2023 school year. Please see the officer descriptions below, and contact Kara Covrig, president.plcc@gmail.com if you are interested. Officer election will take place at the next Community Club meeting, May 17, 2022.

President—The president is tasked with the overall management of the organization. The president prepares meeting agendas and hosts monthly PLCC meetings, attends district Community Club meetings, collaborates with officers to create PLCC calendars, plans fundraising events, and assists with communication between teachers and families.
Vice President—The vice president assists the president and may carry out the duties of the president in the president’s absence. Additionally, the nominations and elections committee is chaired by the vice president. The vice president also helps with the coordination of committees.
Treasurer—The treasurer receives all funds for PLCC, keeping accurate records of expenses and donations and paying out for all expenditures that are approved by the board. The treasurer must also keep all financial statements and receipts.
Secretary—The secretary will keep all meeting records. The secretary will also take all notes for minutes and attendance records.
