ADMINISTRATION UPDATE
Dear CCS Families,
During the month of November, CCS will be revisiting the three precepts that form our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system. We take care of ourselves. We take care of others. We take care of this place. They are statements that students and community members hear frequently, but we are taking it a little further by providing direct instruction and examples for what they mean. To learn more about PBIS please review our PBIS Brochure. Click HERE for an activity that you can do with child(ren) to help them learn our school-wide expectations.
This week was “We Take Care of Ourselves”. This was evident by students...
- in first and second grade as writers celebrated the culmination of their narrative writing units by sharing their work with each other and their families using See Saw.
- in 6th-grade laughing with friends and having time to play a game during advisory at the start of the day.
- of all ages coming back in during recess to grab warmer gear as the weather changed throughout the week!
- in third and fourth grade participating in a conversation about flag football with recess supervisors in order to establish guidelines for safe and fun play for all.
Teachers were encouraged to recognize and highlight students “taking care of self” this week. This is great practice for adults and children alike! We look forward to next week’s highlights within our focus on taking care of one another.
Wishing you all a weekend of self-care!
Kind Regards,
Stephanie, Jen and Cassandra
