A Christmas Carol

Students enjoyed a great day on our trip to see "A Christmas Carol" at Mc Carter Theatre. We hope they enjoyed seeing a live performance to complement their learning in the classroom.

Team Holiday Cards

We are enjoying seeing all the holiday cards coming in. We've attached a picture of the bulletin board so far. Keep them coming, we will put them up until winter break comes. In addition to the cards, we also displayed a mitten or snowman created by each student. On it, each student wrote "something you should say more often" (from the Kid President video), or a sentiment for the season. Examples include:

"You are my best friend and I will always listen."

"I wish for happiness & love throughout the world."

"Smile it's good for you!"

"I wish the world would come together and become ONE."

"Nobody's Perfect!"

"I wish for everyone to have food, water, shelter."

The students did a great job with this and we think the bulletin board came out great!

Over winter break is a good time to check with your child and see how their school supplies are holding up. Good things to check for include:

Filler Paper

Folders/Binders - If possible, replace or repair broken items

This is also a good time to clean out folders/backpacks, accordian folders, etc. If you are not sure if something should be thrown out, please have your child ask his/her teacher.

Final Thoughts

As we approach winter break, we want to wish all those who celebrated earlier this month, a belated Happy Hanukkah, and wish those of you will celebrate, a Merry Christmas. And to everyone, a very Happy New Year!

We also want to take this time to wish all the families of Team 6E a very safe, healthy, and fun break. We hope you enjoy this time with your family, find time for fun & games, as well as some peace and relaxation.

When we get back in January, we will almost be halfway through the school year! We will see you in 2016!
