To download photos, students (or you) would need to do three things.
- login to Pixabay
- choose the size photo you want to download
- click download
But...
Bonus: Copyright and Plagiarism
How can plagiarism be avoided?
Giving credit is key. "Most cases of plagiarism can be avoided, however, by citing sources. Simply acknowledging that certain material has been borrowed and providing your audience with the information necessary to find that source is usually enough to prevent plagiarism. " ("Home." Plagiarism.org. IParadigms, LLC, 2014. Web. 25 Sept. 2014.)
Did you know there were 10 types of plagiarism? And, it's not just using someone else's words. Photos and music should be credited, too, and it's important students (and teachers) use things they have permission to use. Just because it's online doesn't mean you can automatically use it.
For more information on plagiarism, citations, fair use, and more, check out the links below. Plagiarism.org is one of my new favorite websites. (Thanks to Sara, the Teacher Librarian at Horizon, for sharing!) It's sponsored by iParadigms LLC, makers of Turnitin.com
