STANWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
FAMILY UPDATE FOR WEEK OF JANUARY 11th, 2021
SHS VISION STATEMENT
Stanwood Spartans are united in cultivating character, modeling respect, teaching leadership and connecting to community.
NEW SCHOOL BUILDING
Everything has been moved to the new school building. Now we are busy unpacking and preparing the school for our specialized student groups (start date January 19th).
We know you want a tour of the new building. At this time, due to covid restrictions, we are not able to provide tours. Once we are able to have visitors, we will let you know.
PARKING AT NEW SCHOOL BUILDING
Students and parents/guardians can park at the upper Ag parking lot. Please use the walking path to get to the front of the new school building. You will enter the front doors. Students need to be screened by a staff member. Parents/guardians can screen themselves. All students and parents/guardians are required to wear a mask.
*The only doors open to the school are the front doors. The commons entrance at the staff parking lot will remain locked. The office is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday, except holidays.

SNOW DAY/INCLEMENT WEATHER UPDATE
If we experience inclement weather on a school day, learning will not stop for Stanwood High School. Every Thursday morning at 7:10 a.m., teachers drop work in their Google Classrooms for the students. The expectation is that students will continue to work on assignments that were already delivered.
**The teachers will hold Google Meets if power and connectivity permits. We will still be able to count the day as a school day as long as students have assignments available.
