Snow Leopard

Cutest animal!

Snow Leopards are slightly smaller than other big cats, but like them, there are many different sizes. the Snow Leopard is a moderately large cat, native to the mountain ranges in Central Asia.

The Snow Leopard's weight is slightly ranging between 27-55 kilograms, a large male would reach up to 75kg and a small female would reach up to 25kg.
They have a relatively short body, measuring in length from the head to the base tail 75cm-130cm. However, the tail is quite long, at 80cm-100cm.
Snow leopards have long, thick fur, and their base colour varies from smoky grey to yellowish tan.

snow leopards are carnivores and actively hunt their prey. Like many cats, they are opportunistic feeders, eating whatever meat they can find. they can kill animals more than three times their weight, such as the bharal and argali.

the Snow leopard is currently in Asia, Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and possibly also in Myanmar.

These rare, beautiful grey leopards appear to be in dramatic decline because of such killings, and due to poaching driven by illegal trades in body parts used for traditional Chinese medicine. Vanishing their habitats and the decline of the cats large mammal prey are also contributing things too.
