Multitalented RCS Student Selected for NYSSMA All-State Festival
The RCS Music Department & School District is thrilled to announce that Junior Alivia Ortiz has been selected for the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Conference All-State Festival! Ms. Ortiz will be singing Alto I in the All-State Mixed Chorus. Selected for this prestigious honor based on her perfect NYSSMA score last year, her achievements donβt stop there, to learn more visit the link below!

Bring your Family to P.E. Week Returns!
The RCS Physical Education Department is thrilled to bring back the Bring your Family to P.E. Week, next week, Monday, October 3 through Friday, October 7. Each building will be finding unique ways to promote physical activities for students and their families. Information was shared directly by your studentβs physical education teacher, if you have any questions, please contact your studentβs main office.

Running & Upcoming Fundraisers:
Class of 2024 -- Val's RCS Gear Webstore: This fundraiser is running through Monday, October 3. To order, please use this link: https://valswebstores.chipply.com/rcs-indians.

Ravena Robotics -- Frese's Chicken BBQ: On Tuesday, October 18, with pick-up from 3:30- 6:30 p.m. at RCS High School. All dinners MUST be pre-ordered by October 10 by 6:00 p.m. This fundraiser is to support our amazing robotics team! This team is made up of 8-12th grade students who design and build a robot to compete against other schools in a robotics challenge. We use all funds for parts and competition fees.
All dinners MUST be pre-ordered by October 10 by 6:00 p.m., to order: Text or call 518-225-1495. Meals cost $15 and include a half chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, corn on the cob, buttered roll, and cookies.

MS PTSO -- Fall Community Craft & Vendor Fair: On Sunday, October 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come join the MS PTSO for a fun day for the whole family! You can shop for the upcoming holidays, visit gourmet food trucks, support local young entrepreneurs, and play some games!

They are still looking for crafters, vendors, food trucks, and any young people who may want to sell their crafts, and goods or provide services (like bracelet making or hair braiding) or even advertise their businesses in our young entrepreneur section. Visit the website above to register.
Class of 2024 -- Stadium Seat Cushions: The Class of 2024 will be selling seat cushions at soccer games, football games, and other sporting/spirit events for $15.00. The cushions come with a built-in handle and have the RCS logo printed on them. You can find representatives from the Class of 2024 at upcoming games in order to purchase.

Class of 2023 -- Bottle and Can Collections: Bring your empty bottles and cans to Just Makes Cents at 2381 Route 9W in Ravena and ask them to apply your total to the Class of 2023 account.
The fundraiser runs all year long.
