April 2014
April is National Poetry Month
In April we stop and take some time to appreciate the genre of Poetry. Poetry is a wonderful descriptive tool that can cover any subject area. Take some time this month to incorporate Poetry into a lesson or two! Check out this site to give you ideas for poems every day of the month.
Wonderopolis
Can't say enough how much I love this free resource. Wonderopolis provides detailed answers to common questions. Once you register they will send you a daily email with the Wonder of the Day! Use this source to discover answers to common questions and videos created by students for students. http://wonderopolis.org/
Social Media
Social media is one of the best free tools we have to promote our school, students, and ourselves on a public level. Social media is more than Facebook and Twitter, it is a global connection. Dont be afraid to branch out and communicate with other schools! http://www.edutopia.org/blog/guidebook-social-media-in-classroom-vicki-davis
