A message from our principal
Third grade helped lead our prayer service this morning. Matthew’s Gospel from Sunday talks about how Jesus wants to rule our hearts and keep them good. The Gospel suggests actions that will help us to live as Jesus taught us. We call these the Corporal Works of Mercy:
“…for I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink;
I was a stranger and you welcomed me;
I was naked and you gave me clothing;
I was sick and you took care of me;
I was in prison and you visited me.
Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family,
You did it to me.”
This Gospel represents what our school family is about. Let Christ’s words and actions rule our hearts and minds. Let us see Jesus in others, especially those who need our care.
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve
