Happy Holidays
From the MES family to yours, we wish you a very happy holiday season. We have a plentiful amount of snow that has fallen, and I hope you are able to get outside and enjoy this snow whether it's sledding, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing or walking the dog. Please be mindful to remind your children of how to play safely. This includes awareness of roofalanches, snow removal machinery, snow immersion, tree wells and more.
We hope you have a wonderful two week break surrounded by family. I am grateful to serve each family here at MES, and I appreciate your support of our schools and our students. We have a wonderful school community. I look forward to opportunities to bring our community together in the new year as well. Please note that our winter vacation runs from Saturday December 17-Monday January 2, 2023. We return to school on TUESDAY, January 3, 2023.
We are committed to our targeted learning focus for the school:

Cross Country Ski News
Sign ups for the MES Cross Country PE grades 3-5 will bagan last week, and there are a few spots still available. Forms are available in the MES office or through Mrs. Quirsfeld. The program does fill on a first come first served basis and there’s room for 30 students total. The program runs concurrent with the MES Ski and Snowboard PE program and begins January 12th. We leave MES at 12:05 and return by the 2:40 bus each Thursday. There is a suggested $5.00 donation each week and your child will need ski pants, jacket, glasses for sunny days and goggles for snowy days. It is also suggested that your child wear good gloves, a beanie and good ski socks. If you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Quirsfeld through ParentSquare or mquirsfeld@mammothusd.org.
MES Ski and Snowboard PE News

The MES Ski and Snowboard Team program and the transportation for MMSSA athletes also begin on Wednesday, January 11th.
Please remember that if you are picking up your child from the mountain, please always check out with a teacher.
