2019 Cox Inspirational Student Hero Nomination...Let's Nominate Our Great Students!!!
This is a wonderful program that gives schools an opportunity to recognize a student who may otherwise go unrecognized. Through this program Cox recognizes inspirational students who have shown great fortitude by successfully adapting to and/or conquering personal problems, challenges or situations. The Cox Inspirational Student Hero may be successfully overcoming one or more of the following:
- Academic Difficulties
- Mental/Physical Disabilities
- Family Adversity
- Acculturation Problems (language barrier)
- Serious Illness
- Substance Abuse
- Other (specify)
Please see the nomination packet included here. Nomination packets are due by March 29 to MaconHeroes@cox.com. Each school has the opportunity to submit the name of one student and that student will be recognized during the program.

Once you have submitted your personal data form and vita/resume, Mr. Jordan Payne will forward your application to the dean for review. You will be contacted if an opening matching your qualification and availability arises.

2018-2019 CTAE Projected Pathway Completers
2018-2019 Southwest HS & Ballard-Hudson School Level Goals
- Grow CTAE Advisory Boards by 50%.
- Increase CTSO Membership to 60% of total membership.
- Identify students in CTSOs (DECA, FBLA, SkillsUSA) for state/region officer leadership roles.
- Increase EOPA pass rate to 67%.
- Increase YAP/WBL Awareness/Participation – 24 different students who are either internships or co-ops.
- Increase positive perception and impact of CTAE at both Southwest HS and Ballard-Hudson MS.
Ballard-Hudson MS:
- Increase CTSO Membership-(FBLA Goal-40 Members, FCCLA Goal-40 Members and JLC Drill Team-25 Members).
- Run MS FBLA and MS FCCLA Region/State Officers.
- FBLA and FCCLA will compete at both Region and State Competitions.
- JLC Cadets will participate in Spring District JLC Drill Meet.
- Increase the number of GeorgiaBEST certification-(8th Grade will complete both Fall & Spring).
- Continue Mock Interview Program-(8th Grade).
