***Parent Action Needed*** What do I do with my child's computer for the summer?
Please read below and then complete this form only if you want your child's device collected and stored at Anasazi for the summer.
At the end of the school year, Chromebooks issued to SUSD students will only be collected from students who know they are not returning to a SUSD school next August and students whose parents/guardians request that the devices be collected. For all other students, the devices will remain checked out to students and they can take the device home for the summer with the expectation that they return with them on the first day of school in August.
For returning SUSD students currently in grades K-4 - SUSD prefers students keep their computers at home over the summer. However, if you would like us to keep your child's device at Anasazi, please complete this form no later than May 13th. If you have more than one student who will be keeping her/his computer at school for the summer, please complete this form for each child. Fifth graders going to our SUSD middle schools will take their Chromebooks with them and show up for sixth grade ready to go.
*You must return the charger with the Chromebook.
*Computers turned in to Anasazi may be "cleaned" during the summer. Your child may receive a different computer when returning in August.

On to the next phase for IB Accredidation
We officially hit submit on our IB Application this week. We now wait to hear from the IB World Organization to see when they will come next school year for the official authorization visit.
Thank you for your continued support as we travel on this IB journey.
This month's IB Learner Profile Attribute is Balanced
This month we are focusing on being Balanced.
We understand the importance of balancing different aspects of our lives—intellectual, physical, and emotional—to achieve well-being for ourselves and others. We recognize our interdependence with other people and with the world in which we live.
Please remember to look at the Anasazi in Action page on our PYP Parent Portal to learn more about what your children are learning.
Updated SUSD COVID Return to School Guidelines
Important Updates and Reminders Regarding Covid at Anasazi and SUSD Schools
According to the CDC and Maricopa Department of Public Health (MCDPH) guidance, SUSD is still monitoring our school sites for illness and COVID positive cases. We will continue to ask that you keep your child home from school if they exhibit COVID illness symptoms even if they seem like allergies. SUSD will continue to follow the SUSD COVID-19 Return to School/Work Guidelines for the remainder of the school 2021-22 school year with the hope for a change for the next school year.
Reminders from Nurse Renee
Please keep your child home if he or she has any of the COVID-like symptoms listed below, even if your child only has one of them and you attribute it to a minor cold or allergies. Discuss with Nurse Renee prior to sending your child to school:
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
