Parent Conferences

This week is Parent Teacher Conferences. We will be on minimum day schedule.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held virtually from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Your student's teacher(s) should have already contacted you if a conference is required.

You can also reach out to your student's teacher(s) to request a conference.

Please encourage your student to participate in our "Lose the Chew" Day to learn about smokeless tobacco products and the associated health risks.

Our district technology instructional coaches are offering parent training on setting up an account and how parents can monitor their student's work on Schoology.

Immunization Clinic and Flu Shots

Immunization Clinic and Flu Shots are available at Waite Middle School.

Students can access the clinic Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Please join the LACOE Ambassador Program and participate in sessions to learn about:

  • COVID-19
  • Infection prevention measures at home, in the community, and at school
  • Communicating and educating other for change

Counseling Resources for Families

Let's Celebrate Black History Month!

The month of February is Black History Month. Let's celebrate the achievements of African Americans and their contributions to the United States. Your student will be participating in Black History Month activities during Wellness Wednesday and Social Studies class.

Tutoring Services

NLMUSD has partnered with Khan Academy and through Princeton Review to provide tutoring for all our students. Live tutoring and homework help, including writing assignments, will be available to all students in grades 4 – 12 everyday of the week.

Please have your student log into Schoology and select from the Schoology App Icon to get started. Students using iPads will need access Schoology through the Safari browser.

All of our tutoring resources are now open so please take advantage of these opportunities for additional support.

As we continue to navigate distance learning and begin Semester 2, please refer to our Technology Support page on our Hutchinson website.

We have included resources to assist your student with organization and have a successful start to the new semester, such as:

- Using a Calendar on Schoology

- Using a Weekly Assignment Sheet

- Checking assignments and grades on Schoology

- Iready Access
