Let's Make This Year Amazing.
Dear TCS Family,
It is difficult to express the impact of Institute Day. I can think of no other way to communicate its significance than to call it amazing. Some of you have even used those very words in emails, conversations and social media. I've said it before and will continue to say it: we have the absolute right people to do this very important work connected to our mission.
Educating the TCS Graduate is our focus and that starts as early as Wednesday when our Pre-K students enter schools for the very first time. This responsibility belongs to each of us--no matter the role or job title--to ensure our students become technologically advanced, communicators, innovators, leaders, global citizens and work ready.
I could not be more proud of the speeches our six colleagues shared on center stage yesterday. Their words remind us of the power of our work. The challenge to be amazing cannot come without the empowerment to do so. As you prepare for a new school year, know that your system and board have empowered you to do this life-changing work on behalf of students. However, amazing doesn't happen in a vacuum: it will also take collaboration with your colleagues and families and love for our students.
Let's make this an amazing year for all of the students in the TCS!
Regards,
Mike Daria, Ed.D.
