Dear North Gresham Families,
March came in so quickly, and it is a busy month for us! We have many things going on this month - report cards, spring book fair, family night, and spring break.
We also celebrate our Classified staff in March during the week of the 13th. Classified staff include our educational assistants, custodians, secretaries, health assistant, and other essential staff. We truly appreciate all of the hard work they put in every single day to support our students and teachers, and I want to take the opportunity to thank them. They are truly Super Stars!
Is your student having an issue at school? I want to encourage you to help us solve school problems at school by reaching out as soon as possible if your child complains about another student that warrants intervention. Don't let it build. Feel free to call or email with any concerns.
March Breakfast and Lunch Menu
Spring Picture Day March 7th
1) The easiest and most convenient way is to order online at: mydorian.com (search for North Gresham Elementary and click on the green Order button)
2) Order forms were sent home, so you can complete one and enclose payment. Please have your student turn it in to their teacher. Important: We can only accept exact payment in cash (we cannot make change), or you can send a check made payable to: Dorian Studio
Picture orders take a few weeks to arrive, and they will be sent home in your child's backpack once we receive them. If you have any ordering issues or questions about your order, please contact Dorian Studio directly at 1-800-826-3535.
*** Please note that the photography team will only be here for a few hours, so have your order submitted online no later than the morning of March 7th by 9:00 a.m., or send the order envelope with your student to hand in to their teacher when school starts. If you don't place an order by then, it will be too late to get your student's photo taken.

On February 21, we dismissed students early because of the snow. We rarely have to make this decision. Sending students home in the middle of the day is also a complex endeavor. One of the critical components for keeping students safe is the fast notification to families. During that February 21 event, we used ParentSquare to communicate with all of you. This tool gave us the ability to almost instantly and efficiently communicate with thousands of staff, parents, and students, ensuring these people knew our plans as soon as possible. This communication enabled families to make the necessary adjustments. It was invaluable. If you haven’t downloaded the app, you should! Using the app makes communication with all of you efficient and fast especially if you have students in multiple schools.
