Studley Star
Back to School
Welcome Back!
Dear Families,
It is with great pleasure that I formally welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year. Studley is a great place to learn and grow, and I am thrilled for the opportunity to lead our Studley Stars through a year of personal growth and provide an environment that respects individual needs and fosters a love for learning.
The staff have been working hard to prepare for our opening and are waiting eagerly for the school to once again be filled with your children’s laughter and curious minds. We look forward to partnering with each of you to make this year a positive one - one in which all children are pushed to become the best versions of themselves.
Providing the best educational experience for your child is our main goal. We strive to live out our district’s mission of providing relevant learning experiences that inspire our students to improve our world. We value communication, understanding, and high expectations for all. We believe that, together, we can achieve great things.
I want to take a moment to welcome our new families to the Studley Community. We are delighted to have you as part of our team. As partners in your child’s learning, we encourage you to support their journey by asking questions, sharing in their joys, and helping them to grow through their struggles.
We are so excited to begin another year with all of you. We know it won’t always be easy - but it will be worth it. We will strive to give our best every day because your children deserve the best. We are all Studley Stars now- so let’s shine bright and make this a great year.

Important Information
Family Contact Information:
It is vital that we have up to date and fully functional phone numbers, emails, and emergency contact information as soon as we open. Please make sure your voicemail is functional. Additionally, please be sure to update the office with any changes to your contact information as soon as they occur.
Communication:
We will be communicating through Aspen, Remind, and email. All teachers will have the Remind app (https://www.remind.com/resources/) to support communication between the school and our families. Your teachers will be sending out additional information regarding the Remind App as the year begins. Information can also be found on our Studley Facebook Page. Our staff typically responds within 24 hours barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Please make sure to reach out to your child’s teacher directly should you have any questions or concerns during the year. They should always be your first point of contact as they know your child and most likely have the information needed.
Arrival and Dismissal:
Arrival begins at 8:30AM, and the bell rings at 8:45AM. This means school starts promptly at 8:45AM, and students will be marked tardy. All students who are tardy will need to be buzzed into the office with an adult. It is important to arrive at school on time daily in order to set your child up for a successful day.
A separate email will be sent describing our arrival/dismissal process. Our staff has a structured system designed to keep everyone safe. Please follow the guidance and direction of staff members. For our returning families, please be patient with our new families and help guide them through our routines. It really does make a difference!
Breakfast/Lunch:
Please do not send in money for breakfast or lunch as we open. At this time, the state has granted an extension, and there is no cost for breakfast or lunch. Students may receive lunch from school, or you may send them in with a packed lunch.
Please still complete your free and reduced lunch forms. We want to make sure they are complete and processed.
Busing:
If you have applied for fee for transportation, you will need to wait until you receive confirmation from our Transportation Office before you begin using the bus. Each bus will have a list of assigned students. Those not listed will need to find an alternate method of transport. All students will be required to wear masks on the bus. We know they are working very hard at sorting out bus assignments, ensuring spacing, etc.
General Building Entry:
Anyone entering the building for any reason will be required to sign in and out. We must maintain an accurate entry log for contact tracing purposes. You will find a sign-in log upon entry along with hand sanitizer and masks should you not have a personal one. Clean pens and a container for used ones will be on the table.
Classroom/Building Needs:
You should have already received your school supply lists for your grade level from the school. You can also find them on our website: http://ses.attleboroschools.com. We will, as always, appreciate donations of sanitizer, wipes, paper towels, and Kleenex!
School Issued Devices:
Students entering grade 1 should return their tablets to Studley during the first few days of school. This includes the power cord and case. This is only for returning students.
Students entering grades 2, 3 and 4 should also bring back their chromebooks, power cords and cases (if applicable). Your teacher will direct you more with this. If you are new to Studley, you will be issued a device to use this year.
PTO:
We are so lucky to have such a wonderful parent group that supports this school. They work tirelessly to build community, support the staff, and enrich the overall school experience for our students. Please consider coming to our PTO meetings, which will be held one Wednesday a month. At these meetings, you will learn more about the group and how to become involved! More information to follow, but we need you and your voice to make us better.
