The Yakima School District is proud to announce Tori Brennan as the Principal of Barge-Lincoln Elementary. Tori has been the Assistant Principal of Barge-Lincoln for the past four years.

This is Tori’s 23rd year as an educator, having worked throughout the Yakima Valley—ten years as a classroom teacher in the YSD! Tori is happy to serve the YSD community where she spent many years as a classroom teacher at Hoover Elementary and Whitney Elementary.

After graduating from West Valley High School, Tori attended Central Washington University (CWU), graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education (K-8) and an endorsement in psychology (4-12), and a Master’s degree in Education (K-12). In the spring of 2018, Tori attained her Administrative Certification from CWU and was immediately hired at Barge-Lincoln Elementary School as the Assistant Principal where she has been since. Tori serves as adjunct faculty in the elementary education department at Central Washington University training future teachers.

Tori has shared her pride and adoration to serve Barge-Lincoln students, families, and staff these past four years as their assistant principal. Her passion for education, for helping youth and teachers achieve their maximum potential, and for equipping educators with the tools and resources needed to be successful, along with building strong, collaborative relationships with the learning community makes her a top selection for leading Barge!

Through this journey, Tori shared that she met many individuals who have impacted her life both personally and professionally. "The best part of being an educator is the relationships that she has been able to build with students, staff, and families. I have a TRUE love of learning and fostering life-long learning with youth!"

Mrs. Brennan and her husband, also an educator, are proud parents to two beautiful daughters—Tai Lyn and Marli. Tori shared that her greatest joy is being able to raise these young women to ALWAYS love learning and instill a passion for exercising their brains! When Tori has free time, she enjoys traveling abroad with her family and listening to podcasts as she takes long walks around the beautiful Yakima Valley.
