First day of SUMMER!

Well... it finally happened. Summer is here and 5th grade is a soon distant memory.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support of your child's education and of their 5th grade year. Because of you, your children were able to experience so much in just one year -- LA County Fair, Griffith Observatory, Riley's Farm, Walk Through the American Revolution, two GLAD Scientist presentation, Open House Wax Museum, Miramar Water Plant, and so much more.

As this chapter closes, another one opens with bigger and better opportunities. Changes are on the horizon and can be worrisome for your little one. Chat about their feelings and talk them through as this time of their life is one of the most challenging during their childhood.

I'm proud of their progress and am so very sad to see them leave. But, as I "let go," I'm confident that your children is soar... not just fly... in middle school.

Please keep in touch as I would love to hear all the wonderful things that are happening in their lives as they grow. Wishing you and your family a wonderful, restful summer. Go create memories!

Please watch...

We all know that trying new things are intimidating and challenging. Feel how this child feels. Live what your child is living and we can all have empathy for their feelings of their first day of middle school.

This video resonates with me as it is a reminder that we've all been there and turned out just fine. Your child now needs that confidence, understanding, and guidance from you to survive middle school and make it the best that it can be.
