Weston Elementary School
December Edition
December is here...cheer!
At Weston, and all of Kearsley, December is such a special month. Our classrooms will celebrate each other and show kindness with our Positivity Project Initiative. Classrooms will experience the beautiful season of giving. Within Kearsley, we truly believe in giving is better than receiving as we encounter the season of Kearsley Christmas Charities.
Special events will happen this month at Weston. Rooms 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 (First Grade) will make gingerbread houses on December 14. Rooms 1, 12, 14, 15 (First Grade) will make gingerbread houses on December 19. Our DK Celebration will be on December 21 in the morning. Our Kindergarten Program will be on December 21 in the afternoon. All classrooms will celebrate Polar Express on either December 20 or 21. Please look to each specific classroom newsletter for times.
As the new year begins, our resolution at Weston will be to continue to help our students grow academically with reading, writing, and math. We will also continue to help our students understand social and emotional aspects of life. We wish you the best with your New Years Resolution and/or positive life change.
We wish you a very warm Holiday Season! Celebrate your family beliefs and traditions. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Attendance Matters!
Research shows that if your child misses a large amount of school, it will negatively impact their education, specifically with reading.
If your child is in a routine and shows good attendance, he or she will be happier at school and learn at a more suitable rate.
So if your child has good attendance:
He or she will:
-Be happier at school
-Learn at the proper rate
-Learn social skills
-Possibly win a bike
-Be able to walk in the Kearsley Homecoming Parade (with outstanding attendance)
-Feel good about themselves
School is cool!
Thank you for getting your child to school everyday!
