From the desk of Principal Williams

Thank you for a successful virtual Back to School night. During the presentation, I explained that Steele Lane is a Title 1 School. Below are our school's 3 goals that are written into our school plan for student achievement. Please click on this link to provide feedback to help support the decisions we make to support our students and our school community.

A reminder that there is no school on Monday to due to Labor Day. The Labor Day holiday grew out of the late 19th century organized labor movement, and it quickly became a national holiday as the labor movement assumed a prominent role in American society. See you Tuesday!

With much gratitude,

Mrs. Williams

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is an afterschool program like no other! Twice per week for 10 weeks, girls in 3rd-6th grade will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels and learn important life skills. Trained and caring coaches lead the grade girls through interactive lessons and running activities. The season ends with a noncompetitive 5K event. Click the PDF below to view the flier with more information.

Important COVID reminders

Masks must be worn on campus. Please send your student in a mask, and if you are walking on school property you must wear a mask as well regardless if you are vaccinated. We will have extra masks if they forget or if theirs gets broken throughout the day. This is to keep all of our students and staff safe. Please send your student with a water bottle to limit touching high touch surfaces.

Please do not send your student to school if they are exhibiting any of the following symptoms;

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
If your student shows any signs of these symptoms they will be isolated and you will need to pick them up immediately, and then we will follow up with the SRCS COVID protocols.

Parent Square

Santa Rosa City Schools uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number originating in the student information system. For email or cell phone number changes, please contact our office (707)890-3945. ParentSquare can only recognize you as a parent/guardian if we have the same email and/or textable cell phone information for you in our system.

We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

Log into ParentSquare today. If you are new to ParentSquare, click here for instructions (English/español). If you need more information visit this webpage from Santa Rosa City Schools.
