Happy May! I cannot believe we are in the last month of the 2021-2022 school year. We have several events taking place in May including our Field Day. I'm happy to announce that parents are able to volunteer and be a part of this event this year! See below for more information.

As always, thank you so much for your continuous support. We love having your child at Poston Road Elementary. Have a fantastic summer break!

ILEARN Celebration

We are so proud of our students! We will be celebrating the completion of ILEARN with our 3rd & 4th graders on Thursday, May 5th. We will have a picnic-style lunch in the gym, the students will watch a baseball-themed movie, and we will draw tickets for prizes.

Cultural Festival

We are so excited to host our first Cultural Festival! This event is open to the public. Passports are $5 up to the evening of the event or $6 at the door. Students will travel to different countries and learn through crafts, games, songs, and dance.

2K Elementary Run

Great job to all of our Tigers who competed in the 2K run last week. A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Kailyn for winning the girls' race!!

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

  • Doors open at 8:25AM (we do not have staff members available to supervise students before 8:25) Please DO NOT drop them off at the door prior to 8:25.
  • Door 2 & Door 8 are both options for drop off. It is your preference on which door you would like to drop your child off at. Please pull up along the sidewalk before letting your child out of the car. DO NOT allow your child to cross in front of cars.


  • Dismissal bell rings at 3:20PM
  • Walkers will be dismissed out Door 2 & Door 8 first.
  • Next, the students riding buses and daycare vans will dismiss out of Door 2.
  • If you are picking up your child, grades PK-1 as well as Senora Fox/Mrs. Werne's 2nd graders (and older siblings) will be picked up at Door 2. Students in grades 3&4 as well as Mrs. Percifield's second graders will be picked up at Door 8. Please stay in your car, we will bring your child out to you.
