Update on COVID-19 Safety Measures

As COVID numbers continue to rise in our area, I think it is important to update you all on what we continue to do here at school to reduce the spread.

  1. Mask wearing- we continue to wear mask while in the building. This includes students and staff. Any visitors must also wear mask. Please help us stay safe by having a mask on BEFORE you enter the building. Mask breaks for students are given, at minimum, once an hour and when students are not moving and are physically distant.
  2. Physical distancing- We continue to adhere to the three feet rule whenever possible. However, masking is our first defense to prevent spread so when physical distancing is not possible students and staff are wearing mask.
  3. If a student or staff member has tested positive and has been in a classroom recently, we disinfect the room while the students are out of the classroom.
  4. We continue to isolate students who develop/present with COVID like symptoms while here at school until a guardian is able to pick the student up.

Student and staff safety is a top priority. We will continue to promote and implement COVID 19 parameters to prevent spread.

The Bus Loop

When coming to Craig Hill, we must avoid the bus loop. No matter what time of the day. Due to our pre-K program we have busses that come throughout the day and if families park in the loop it interferes with bus runs. In addition, in cases of emergencies the emergency personnel will use the bus loop and a vehicle parked there could interfere in their response. Please park in the parking lot and walk to the front entrance from there.

Parents, we need volunteers to help us create the yearbooks for the year. If you are interested in supporting this work, please email and/or

Reminder of Electronic Devices In School Policy

Students in grades K-8 are not allowed to use personal electronic devices during the school day. We strongly believe that personal electronic devices distract students from their learning and can cause disruption. Our goal in school is to create an ideal environment for learning and promote student social-emotional growth.

From the districts Code of Conduct:

Personal electronic devices include but not limited to, cell phones, smart watches, music/media players.

  • Personal electronic devices can be used before and after school.
  • All personal electronic devices must be turned off and stored out sight during the school day.

We ask that parents/guardians remind their students of these expectations.
