Valentine's Day
Please remember that food-related items are not allowed to be a part of Valentine's Day Cards. Although students are not required to send Valentine's Day Cards, please remember that if they do prepare cards they must have one for each classmate.
Don't forget: Boxtops!!
Our collection is still underway and we are working hard to collect as much money as possible for LAF. If each student brought in just 10 boxtops, imagine what we could achieve. Please help us out--Boxtops can be sent to school in sealed sandwich bags or envelopes and placed in the basket in the main office. We would appreciate it if you took a moment to check the expiration dates on the Boxtops as we cannot use any Boxtops which expire prior to 3/1/19.
Lunch Accounts Payment
If you are sending in a check to replenish your child's lunch account, please make all checks payable to "School District of the Chathams" or "SDOC" . We can not accept checks made out to cash, Chartwells or Lafayette School.
To Parents/Guardians of incoming 6th grade students 2019-2020 school year
It is a NJ State requirement for all incoming 6th grade students( 2019-20 year) to provide proof of the Tdap and Menactra vaccines. Typically your student will get these vaccines at their 11 year old checkup.
Please plan accordingly when scheduling your child's physical exam, keep in mind the requirement to have the documentation in the Health office by August 16 , 2019.
You will not have access to your student's schedule until the documents are on file in the CMS Health Office.
If your child gets these vaccines while they are at Lafayette School (2018-19) please give the documentation to Sally Kelly RN.
