December Employee of the Month
Here are some of the incredible things our East staff family has to say about Nurse Williams:
"Being a nurse is a lot of work! Kaitlyn has so much heart for the kiddos she helps and sees each day. She makes each kid feel valued and seen. Whether that child needs an ice pack or is very sick she validates each student. It takes a big heart to care for students who are not feeling well or for those friends who love seeing the nurse for anything and everything ;) she creates a space where students feel safe and loved even when they are not feeling well or are sick."
"Nurse Williams responds to the medical needs of each student. However, she also builds personal connections and knows students by name when she sees them in the hallway. She is always making sure teachers are aware of situations and is very kind to all she comes in contact with. She is responsive to the needs of students and is very patient with them!"
"We are so lucky to have such an amazing nurse on campus. When I was little seeing the nurse at school was a scary thing because I never felt seen or understood. Sometimes students just need a break or are anxious about things at home which causes anxiety that can lead to medical symptoms. I love that Nurse Williams still allows these students a space for a few seconds of rest. That little action shows students they are valued and someone believes them. I wish I had a nurse who valued those things as a kid! Her work does not go unnoticed and she is a true light and blessing at East!"
