She intended to land in Paris but due to strong winds and mechanical problems she landed in Northern Ireland. The flight was 15 hours long. When she had landed she was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross
The Dust Bowl
The Dust Bowl lasted about 8 years. It was mainly in the Southern Plains. It was so bad it deepened the Depression even more. Simple things such as walking and eating were made harder. Children even wore dust masks to school. The Dust Bowl effected the farmers the most though. It blew all of their crops away.
