Ms. K. Thompson would like to shout out to Trinity Princival for helping her 9th graders with their trigonometry homework!
The General Battalion JROTC participated in the State Drill Competition this weekend and brought home the following awards: 4th place Unarmed Color Guard, 2nd place Armed Inspection, 4th place Armed Regulation, 2nd place Unarmed Regulation, 4th place Armed Color Guard and 3rd place Knowledge Bowl. Congratulations to all who participated!
Ariahna Battle placed 2nd in the 100m and 3rd in the 200m to qualify her for state. Great job Ari!!!!
Cameron Lacy placed 3rd in the 100 m which qualifies him for state track meet. Great job Cameron!!!
Congratulations to Jeremy Brown and Isiah Vandenberg on finishing 2nd on the 4 x 100 team.
Shout out to Chris Strong tied for 1st place in Shot Put at sectionals in Guntersville with a 43.5. Chris has qualified for State!

Sunday, May 2 - Senior Awards & Recognition Day All graduates are expected to attend since this is the line up practice for graduation. Line up will be 3:00pm. Program will begins at 3:30. Each graduate may have 2-3 guests at Awards Day because of socially distance seating in the theatre.
Please submit your college acceptance and scholarship letters to the college and career counselor, Sheri.criggger@hsv-k12.org. If you need to see her, she is usually here on Mondays.

**ONLY FOR PARENTS/GUARDIAN OF HVA STUDENTS SCHEDULED TO TAKE AP EXAM IN MAY 2021
As we approach AP testing, please notate that all Lee High School AP students will automatically be scheduled to take the paper/pencil test in-person in Mr. Lee's classroom, Room 329. All AP exams are paper/pencil. All Lee High AP students who attend traditionally will also need to take their AP exams on our campus. Please see the AP Exam Schedule so you may plan accordingly. Job Opportunities for Students
Woodpride, a furniture repair shop located on 1209 Meridian Street, is hiring for fulltime and parttime summer help and you must have the ability to do the following:
- be on time
- lift 50 lbs or more
- move, sand, and stain furniture (training will be provided)
- aid with picking up and delivering furniture
- pay rate: $10 per hour
- hours of operation is Mon.-Thur. 8 am -4:30 pm and Fri. 8 am -12 pm
