Thank You
We would like to give a big thanks to the Stone Bank School PTO for providing the funds for our new youth salad bar for the lunch program. It was much needed and the kids are already enjoying it. Thanks to Mr. Blaha for assembling it!
Jump Rope for Heart 2016
During the week of Feb. 8th-12th, students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart in their gym classes. This is an annual Physical Education event that helps students learn the importance of heart health and encourages community service. Students have the option of raising money to support the American Heart Association (AHA), and are encouraged to jump in honor of someone they know who has dealt with heart disease or stroke. Students have already brought home information about this event. Any students raising donations have until Friday, February 12th to turn in their collection envelopes.
P.B.I.S Update
For years, Stone Bank School has had "The Stone Bank Way," which all students can recite by heart. "Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Ready." A group of teachers and students put a video together last December showing our new voice levels. If you're not sure what it is, ask your child to tell you all about it. We will continue to create lessons, skits, and videos that support "The Stone Bank Way."
On Thursday, February 18th, while the middle school students are on their tubing incentive, elementary students will have a celebration as well. It will be pajama day, and at 1:00 we will meet in the gym for a P.B.I.S. lesson, a sparkle ticket drawing for fabulous prizes, and a freeze pop and short movie. Students are encouraged to bring their beach towel to have something to sit/lay on for the movie.
Thank you,
The P.B.I.S. Committee
