About Ms. Butts
My name is Erin Butts and this will be my first year teaching in my own classroom. I went to Ohio University of Zanesville where I obtained my degree in Early Childhood Education. My passion for children and their desire to learn and grow is what lead to become a teacher. Along with my passion for teaching I also enjoy the outdoors, horseback riding, water skiing and spending time with close family and friends.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you and your children and getting to know everyone as we progress through the school year together.

My Philosophy for Teaching
My teaching philosophy is one that is based off of a constructivist approach
- Children need to be able to learn and explore what interest them
- The children must be actively involved in their learning
- Learning builds off of previous knowledge
- The children need to be independent learns who are actively engaged
- Learning has to be student centered with the teachers as facilitators to the learning
