Pray-Woodman Elementary School
A message from Principal Mr. Nils Gabrielson
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!
It was great to see so many of you at our conferences before school started.
We love to have parents at Pray-Woodman!
Parents are invited to have lunch at school with their student(s). Please call the office (721-0902) and let us know when you are coming. If you would like to order a school lunch, please tell us when you call and we’ll reserve lunch for you. You can pay the lunch clerk ($3.85 cash/card) when you go through the line. You can also bring your own lunch.
Here’s the lunch schedule
- 11:15-12:05 First Grade
- 11:30-12:20 Kindergarten
- 12:25-1:15 Second Grade
- 12-12:50 Third Grade
- 12:50-1:40 Fourth Grade
Parents are also invited to help lead the Pledge of Allegiance with their student(s). If you would like to do that, please call the office (721-0902) and we’ll get a date set for that.
Starting this week, students will bring home Connect 4 to play with their family. You can keep it at home for a couple of days and then send it back to your child’s classroom so other families can play as well. We will have a schoolwide tournament in October. Funding provided by the Maize Education Foundation.

A Message from Mrs. Callie Harris, Assistant Principal
First of all, I wanted to thank you so much for how beautifully the parent pick up and drop off line has been working. We have been assured ours is running the most smoothly in the district, that is in big part to you. Thank you.
Secondly, I have just been made aware of a "Random Acts of Kindness" RAK lunch fund. This is a fund where donations can be made so no students are hungry at lunch. For a person who works in the lunchroom, nothing is more difficult than watching students be hungry. Many of our own staff members make donations for lunch money. If this is something you would be interested in contributing to, just send a check or cash in an envelope labeled "RAK lunch fund- PWS."
I am so very glad to be a part of this PWS community!
Thank you for all you do,
Callie
