Principal's Message

This week marks the start of our parent teacher conferences. We are excited to meet with families to talk about all the great learning and progress that's been happening this year. Please visit the "Important Dates" section below as we have several early dismissal days in the coming weeks.

This week we will be announcing the winners of our first STAR Student Awards. Students are nominated by staff members for their demonstration of our STAR Principles and can be awarded with a medal and certificate. The nominations are in and I am working on my recognition video as we speak. We are so excited that our students are doing things the Wildcat Way at Ashbrook each day!

Veterans Day Celebrations

We want to extend a huge thank you to the service men and women who joined us for our Veterans Day Celebration. The students enjoyed having you as our special guests. We also want to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Mueller for her hard work organizing such a wonderful event.

Principal's Book Recommendation

"Thankful" by Elaine Vickers and Samantha Cotterill is a new to me this year and has quickly become one of my favorites. This is a great book to talk about finding gratitude in the little things in your life.

Important Message from the Nurse's Office

As we move into cold and flu season, and with the continued presence of positive COVID cases, we need to reiterate the importance of monitoring your child's health and not sending them to school if they do not feel well. In the event that you keep your child home, please call our nurse, Mrs. Zack, to let her know. Per Department of Health Guidance, if your child is sent home for COVID symptoms, they will need to test negative to return. Finally, if your child tests positive, please let Mrs. Zack know and she will talk with you about the protocols for a safe return.
