Books and Books at Freedom!

September 26 was Family Reading Night at Freedom. Those who attended were able to meet with the Berwyn Public Library, make bookmarks, and read books with family and friends. Everyone who attended also went home with several free books!

Oct 2-6 was the PTSA Book Fair at Freedom. Students and teachers were able to explore and purchase a variety of new books to read.

Google Expeditions Comes to Freedom

Mr. Brian Wilms, Freedom STEAM teacher, organized an event in which representatives from Google came to lead lessons alongside Freedom teachers in Science and Social Studies classes using the Google Expeditions virtual reality field trips. Students excitedly explored topics from World War II to Forces of Nature through this engaging and unique experience. With our 1:1 iPad program students will be able to continue to explore more topics at school in their classrooms throughout the year.

BoxTops for Education

The Freedom PTSA is always collecting boxtops so please send them to school! When students collect 25 they can turn them in for prizes so please encourage your student to collect them.

Safe Drop off and Pickup

It has come to our attention that students are being dropped off in the alley just north of the school. This is unsafe and interrupts traffic, causing more safety issues.

Just a reminder to parents that students can only be dropped off/picked up at the GREEN locations on this map. We understand that when the weather is colder you don't want your student to be out in the cold, but we cannot have parents picking up students in the bus lane due to safety concerns. Thank you for your cooperation!
