Student Achievment

Cold War Kids
Students in Mr. Smith's US History II classes are exploring the origins of the Cold War using primary sources. Their task: use Russian, US, and European primary source documents to determine who was responsible for starting the Cold War.
Art for Seniors (and juniors)
Students in Mrs. Montecalvo's art classes visited Atlantic Adult Daycare this week to make beautiful Christmas ornaments, and sing a few holiday favorites!
Unlocking the mysteries of the Cell
Students in Mr. Langhurst's science classes continue to unlock the mysteries of the cell. This week, they are drawing diagrams of the cell and its phases.
Climate and Culture

Eagle Delivers!
Did you know that you can order breakfast and lunch from the Eagle Cafe, whenever the school is open? Students in Mrs. McGinnis's culinary classes prepare bagel sandwiches, cheesesteaks, and cheeseburgers, as well as Wednesday specials. Delivery is only available for the employees of EHT city hall, but items are available for pickup, as well. Call the school for details 609-926-1235.
Gingerbread houses!
This week, Eagle culinary students completed their holiday baking projects. They put the finishing touches on their gingerbread houses and holiday cookie assortments. Students will bring the goodies home to share with their families and friends.
Community Connection
Atlantic Prevention Resources visit
Mrs. Bowker arranged for a visit from the experts at Atlantic Prevention Resources. The group gave an important lesson on addiction and recovery. Students also had the opportunity to win prizes in a trivia game to test their knowledge!
Ping Pong Tournament
Eagle students are honing their table tennis skills in preparation for next month's ping pong tournament. Senior Jonny Hackett, who finished second the past two years, says he is ready to take the title. Several other students say they are ready to take him on!
Snack Packs
Mrs. McGinnis and Mrs. Montecalvo took the Eagle show on the road on Saturday when they visited the EHT High School Craft Fair to sell student-made snack packs. The packs include a mix of candied nuts and dried fruit, handcrafted by students in our Eagle kitchen! Funding for project materials were provided by an Education Foundation mini-grant. All proceeds from the sales will go toward scholarships for Eagle students. Order your own snack packs by contacting Mrs. McGinnis at mcginnin@eht.k12.nj.us. No order too large or too small!
"Pursuing Public Health" with Stephen Santilli
As part of "Every Hand Together" EHT has launched a you tube channel dedicated to Public Health. Hosted by Assistant Superintendent Steve Santilli, the Pursuing Public Health youtube channel takes a look at current publice health issues that effect the School community.
