Trapped in a glade surrounded by what seems to be an endless maze. Also no idea of why anyone including yourself is there. These are the odds that Thomas is put against in the book Maze Runner by James Dashner. All Thomas knows is his name, all other memories are erased. The same goes for the other boys trapped in the glade as well. The only way out seems to be the maze. The maze is a huge puzzle that changes every night. People called maze runners run the maze and attempt to find a way out. The runners have to be careful though, if they are trapped in the maze overnight it is a for sure death trap. Read this book to find out if they find a way out or if they spend the rest of their lives trapped in the glade.
The setting of this story is the glade and the maze. The glade is the "home" for these boys. They eat, drink, sleep, and do pretty much everything in the glade. Only the maze runners spend time in the maze trying to map it and find a way out.

Maze Runner vs Hunger Games
Maze Runner and Hunger Games are two very similar yet very different novels. I would place both of these novels in the futuristic and dystopian society categories. Also they both feature teenagers in an "arena" with no help from the outside world. The main thing that sets these two books apart is the fact that in Hunger Games the goal is to kill everyone and in Maze Runner the object is to stick together as a team and escape. I cannot pick a better read for these two particular books, they were both very action packed and fun to read. Due to this I would recommend to read both of these books.
Thomas is the main character in this novel. In addition he is my favorite. He is the most curious and courageous of the group. Thomas is also probably one of the smartest as well. He plays a huge role in the story line. When he shows up, the second day he is there he decides to throw himself in the maze right before it closes (which is basically a death wish) to try and help two other people survive this night. (which is yet again a death wish) However, despite the odds Thomas and the other two manage to make through the night while managing to kill a greaver. After that everything changes.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves intense action packed books. There is always something intense going on. It will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. You literally won't be able to put the book down. This book features great characters and an even better story. To be honest I don't read a lot, and I don't enjoy reading too much either. However, this book was an exception. The reason I loved this book so much is because I personally think it has a great story. I hope you enjoy it too.
