2019 - 2020 Tentative Class Schedules Released Monday, June 3
On Monday, June 3rd, tentative schedules for the 2019 - 2020 school year can be viewed on Infinite Campus. Please note that though the summer months schedules may change; finalized schedules will be available prior to the start of the school year. Every effort was made to create an appropriate academic schedule and honor elective preferences for each student.
To view your child’s tentative schedule, log into your Infinite Campus parent portal account, scroll down the left side navigation bar to “future schedules.” Click on your student’s name to view class schedule. Please click here to review additional schedule information that outlines the procedures for schedule change requests. This information can be found on slide 9.
On your child’s schedule, you will notice that they are assigned a flex time or a.m. attendance. This indicates when students will receive instruction in the areas of English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Students will also have their regular scheduled elective courses during assigned periods.
As a school we continue with the house system for the 2019-20 school year. Therefore, groups of students will remain in the same core classes, with a common group of teachers assigned. We believe this will open up opportunities to maximize instruction time and teacher collaboration. As a school, we are excited to bring forward a structure that can best meet the needs of learners.
Student Medication in the Healthroom
As you are aware the school year is coming to an end soon and your child/student has medication in the Health Room. ALL medication needs to picked up by a parent/guardian on or before the last day of school, June 10, 2019. Please make special arrangements to come by the schools Health Room anytime between regular school hours. Any and all medication left behind will be disposed of properly.

School Supply List
Summer is right around the corner and it is so important that your child keeps reading to keep them growing. We have a few dates, events and resources here that may help maintain their interest in reading and access to books.
Here are a few important dates coming up…
1. June 5th & 6th… all students at Horning will have the opportunity to check out books for the summer. You may keep these books all summer but you must return them during the first week of school in September. If you are interested in this Summer Reading Opportunity, please fill out this parent permission slip (your student may also pick this up in our iCenter) Starting June 5th, bring your own bag or box along with your parent permission slip to the iCenter. At that time, you can check out as many books as you can carry. I am hoping every student takes advantage of this great opportunity.
2. Please remember that all students have access to Overdrive all year round, which allows them access to thousands of ebooks and audio books free of charge.
3. If you need some great book recommendations, please see our website below with suggestions of new and popular books by genre.
Happy Summertime Reading!
