Return to Learn update

Dear Families,

I hope this message finds you well! Since our return from the holiday pause, the mitigation efforts we have in place are working and I am thankful for the team effort by staff and students to maintain our safe learning environments!

With the brutal cold of the last week I want to express my gratitude to the Buildings and Grounds and bus garage staff for doing such a great job keeping things running smoothly and our school doors open, despite the challenges brought by the weather!

This year especially, I consider each day of school as a gift! I am so fortunate to be in a thriving school district and community that works so hard to honor our commitments to education!

Sincerely,

Sara Paul

Superintendent

Activities Update

One Act Play headed to state again!

The One Act is a competitive play held each winter by the Minnesota State High School League. Each school has a chance to compete at the subsection and section levels for a chance to perform at the state festival. This year the NBAHS One Act, "Fighting Demons" by Angela Hill, placed first at both subsections and sections! NBAHS One Act submitted its final recording today to the state festival last Thursday. Congratulations to One Act students; headed to state for the second year in a row!

Important P-EBT information

More help is on the way for hundreds of thousands of hungry Minnesota children for the 2020-2021 school year. To ensure children receive the food benefits known as P-EBT, families should make sure they are approved for free or reduced-price meals at their school as soon as possible!

The Minnesota Department of Human Services will begin mailing new P-EBT cards, issued in each child’s name, in late March to eligible families who are approved by Feb. 28, and in subsequent months for families who apply after that. All benefits will be retroactive to September 2020.
