It is Red Ribbon Week!
Monday: Wear red
Tuesday: Too cool for drugs, wear sunglasses
Wednesday: Sock it to drugs, wear crazy socks
Thursday: Lei off drugs, wear Hawaiian clothes
Friday: Wildcats team up against drugs, wear Wildcat gear
This Week:
If your child is still working toward their independent reader certification, they will have an opportunity to read books in the classroom in order to take an AR test. They will also take home a reading folder with a new book and some activities to complete at home each week. Please be sure to read with your child and sign your child's folder!

ELAR
Students will also learn how to create mental images to increase their understanding of the text they hear and read.

Sight Words
This week we are focusing on the words: We are reviewing past sight words.
Spelling
Phonics and Grammar
We are identifying verbs, nouns, and adjectives.
Handwriting and Writing
We are beginning to explore how to write a story with a beginning, middle, and an end.
Math
We will begin subtraction of 1 and 2.
