March is "Try Hard, Do Your Best" Month at Harrison Elementary

Our Harrison Elementary family is so lucky and we want to show it. Here is an optional at-home activity for your family to participate in.

Brainstorm a list of “lucky” things, add your luckiness to a clover, and send back to school!

Nico’s Power Up Packs Gratitude

It’s Power Up Pack Time!

It is with deepest gratitude and appreciate to our Harrison Families and staff for the donations to Nico's Power Up Packs.

This morning staff worked diligently to compile these special packs. PVS and HTS will be donating over 100 Power Up Packs this afternoon to benefit children in need. Thank you again for being a wonderful part of this project.

Socks at the March School Store on March 3rd

The PTA will be selling mismatched socks for $1 at the March 3rd School Store during student lunches. This will give students a chance to get socks to support Rock Your Socks on March 20th. Together we will create a global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome in our schools, community and around the world.

Rock Your Socks STAR Slip Drawing

This year Mrs. Lori Wells is donating 21 pairs of mismatched socks to support awareness of Down Syndrome. We will be randomly selecting 2 STAR slips per day from our STAR box during the week of March 9 & March 16 . The selected STAR slip recipients will receive a pair of mismatched socks! Students will be announced daily over the announcements and they can head on down to the main office to grab their socks!

Rock Your Socks on March 20th!

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is marked each year on March 21, beginning in 2006. The 21st day of March (the 3rd month of the year) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome. Since March 21st is a Saturday, Harrison Elementary will be Rockin' Our Socks on Friday, March 20th!

Harrison Township Schools will be joining other schools and organizations around the world in celebrating WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY.

Together we will create a single global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome in our schools, community and around the world.

Time To Order Your Yearbook!
