EISD Senior Student Update

Class of 2020

School Closure Student Information Regarding Completing Coursework and Graduation

Class of 2020, we know this is a difficult time for our students and that many of you have questions about graduation, finishing classes, and other important topics. Please know that our plan is to hold a graduation ceremony for our students even if we have to postpone it until later in the summer.

All senior coursework must be completed by May 15, 2020. Courses will be online beginning April 1, 2020 in Edgenuity or TEAMS. Online courses for Dual Credit have already started back up. Technology will be provided if a student needs this support.

Individual Graduation Committees

If you have not passed all of your End of Course Assessments, the state has put out new rules.

Remember that the state testing requirements are for the following courses:

1. Algebra I

2. English I

3. Biology

3. English II

4. US History

  • If you are currently working on an IGC plan to meet your testing goal, you will continue that plan in Edgenuity.
  • In order to get credit for passing your state EOC, you have to finish the IGC plan and you have to have a passing grade in the class for that area. For example, if you failed the English I EOC you have to have a passing grade from when you took English I and finish your IGC plan.
  • If you have questions, you need to reach out to your counselor through email.
  • If you are in a class for the first time that has an end of course test, you are required to pass the class to get credit for the test. For example, if you are a three year graduate taking US History you must pass the class and get credit and this will count as passing the test.
  • Campuses will be following up with all students in the IGC process.
