Dear Everitt Families

We have had a wonderful first week with students back in the building-- what a treat to have their energy and humor and creativity and hard work back in person. Thank you for hanging in there with the shifts and adjustments we've weathered together this year. We are grateful for your continued flexibility and partnership!

As always, thank you for believing in the power of neighborhood schools to bring our communities together, and thank you for sharing your kids with us; it is our honor to serve them.

Winter Parent-Teacher Conferences

Our winter conferences are reserved for families that our teachers request to meet with. Please look for an invitation from Jeena early next week to sign up for a conference time for the teacher(s) who've requested to meet with you.

If you do not receive an invitation by Wednesday, February 3, you do not need to attend winter conferences.

If you'd like to request a conference with a teacher(s), please email me at Jeena.Templeton@jeffco.k12.co.us or call 303.982.6288, and I would be happy to schedule a conference for you.

Please encourage incoming families to join us for GT Center Information Night!

Do you have friends or family who are interested in Everitt's GT Center? Please have them join us on Zoom on February 10th at 6:00 pm for an opportunity to hear about our program and have their questions answered by our wonderful teachers and students.

Individual Career Academic Plan for 7th and 8th Grade Students:

On Fridays during the month of February, Everitt's 7th and 8th-grade students will be receiving asynchronous lessons for Colorado's ICAP. ICAP, Individual Career Academic Plans, guide students in grades 7 through 12 in envisioning and creating a plan for their future after high school. Everitt's 7th graders will explore the reality of what it costs to live the lifestyle they dream of their future-self living, as well as, learn about various post-secondary options available to them. Everitt's 8th grade students will learn some nitty-gritty facts about high school academics and about Jeffco's Warren Tech program. They will also work on creating academic, social, and personal goals for their 9th grade year. Counselors will be available on Zoom these days for students to drop in if they need support with the lessons.

2021-2022 School Year Registration

As we are getting settled into this new semester, we are beginning the process of registering students for the 21-22 school year. We wanted to let you all know that our current 6th and 7th grade students will receive information about registration for next year's elective classes in their math classes on February 1st. Please do not hesitate to email us if you have any questions about this process or registration for next year. -Kirsten Aronson, Allison MacDonald & Kelsey Gaines
