Presidents' Message
Hello Hiteon Families!
It’s been a busy month and there is a lot to look forward to in the weeks ahead!
Science Fair
We had our 2021 Science Fair this month and...wow! Hiteon Hawks are so smart! A big thank you to Rebecca Shell Kanarek and Seth Epstein for chairing the event. Head to HiteonPTC.org to check out all the cool science in action!
Bingo Night
Next month we have Bingo Night! Get ready for a fun night over Zoom on Thursday, April 15th. Our special guest host will be Hiteon Librarian Mrs. Sadlouskos and, yes, there will be prizes! Keep an eye out soon for details.
Fun Run
The 2021 Hiteon Virtual Fun Run is coming up in May. This is a great opportunity for the students to get active, strengthen their Hiteon community, and build Hiteon pride by helping to raise funds for Hiteon activities. It’s an important tradition for Hiteon families and we are very excited to make it happen this year in a way that is safe and equitable for the kids.
New Technology for the Kids and Teachers
Thank you Hiteon community! Hiteon 2nd Grade teacher Aine Sonnen spearheaded a fundraising effort through the Beaverton Education Foundation to help add classroom display systems for classrooms that needed an upgrade. Soon after it was live and shared on the Facebook page, a couple of very generous anonymous donors (along with a match by Intel) helped surpass the goal in just minutes! Thank you donors and thank you Mrs. Sonnen!
Please join us for our April General Meeting on Wednesday, April 21st at 7:00 P.M. We look forward to seeing you!
Warmest wishes,
Kim Rivers and Kristin Glover
