My Bus Stop Tracking Mobile App

MyStop is a school bus tracking app that allows parents to track their student's bus location and arrival time. It also allows parents to receive notifications of any delays. The app is updated automatically in (almost) real-time with GPS information about the current location of the bus, as well as the scheduled arrival time automatically updated to reflect any delays encountered.

The app is free and is available from your favorite app store for both Android and Apple devices. Search for 'Versatrans MyStop' in your app store - there are several with similar names, so make sure you download the right one.

Sign in to the app with your child's student number as both username and password. If you don't know your child's student number, please contact your child's school. Once you sign in, you may change the password if you like. Multiple family members may use the app by sharing your login information.

If you have more than one student bus rider in the district, you can sign in with any of their student numbers - all of your students will be accessible from within the app without logging out.

Nurse's Corner: I Care for Kids

If you received a permission form for I Care 4 Kids to return that to school ASAP. Only a few have been returned, but we need at least 10 before we can schedule a day for eye exams.

Only students who failed their vision screen received permission forms. Those students who did qualify and return the permission form will receive a comprehensive eye exam, and if necessary a vision prescription, glasses frames, lenses, and fitting all free of charge (based on income) and onsite at LW.

If parents have any questions about qualifying, insurance, etc. please contact Nurse Megan.

Medication

As the weather has changed, many students are in need to medications during the school day. Please read below for detailed information on district policy regarding medications at school. Please call Nurse Meganat 816-321-6496 if you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy.

· All prescription medication MUST come in the original container with the attached pharmacist/physician label. A written school permission form (medication authorization) must also accompany the medication, and must include child’s name, name of medication, dosage of medication, parent signature, and physician signature.

· All over-the-counter medication MUST come in the original container. A written school permission form must also accompany the medication, and must include child’s name, name of medication, dosage of medication, and parent signature. ONLY the directions on the label will be followed unless a physician provides alternate instructions. For example, Ibuprofen in the adult form can only be given to students age 12 or older.

Free Meals for Students through June 30, 2021

We have some WONDERFUL News to share with you today! The USDA just extended the waiver to feed ALL students for FREE through the fall semester (June 30, 2020).

We DO need families to fill out free/reduced apps, as many District funding and testing sources depend on this, and many students qualify for waived fees d/t their approval letters (ex: waived ACT fees, etc.).
