Coco Chanel was a French fashion designer who impacted America with her products. Founder of Chanel brand, she is the only fashion designer listed on Time magazine's list of the most influential people of the 1920's. She was born on August 18, 1883, in Saumur, France. At age 87, she died on January 10, 1971, in Paris, France.
