Work HARD! Dream BIG! Believe in YOURSELF! Never GIVE UP!

Volume 2 - Issue 18 - December 9, 2019

Message from the Principal

Good evening Cavaliers,

I hope you all had a good weekend and enjoyed the rain. Winter is here and we only have two more weeks of school before Winter break. This week will be our last "full" week of classes before we begin our End of Course Exams (Finals). Please make sure to talk to your students about their current grades and if they are struggling, reach out to their teachers for help. The week of 12/16 through 12/20 we will have a modified schedule with minimum days on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday to accommodate for finals.

As we approach the Winter Holidays, it is important to keep in mind that this can be a very stressful time for many families. It's during these times that people may experience grief and sorrow as they remember a loved one who has passed away. Families might feel added financial stress due to the Holidays and not being able to provide. The National Alliance on Mental Illness recommends using Mindfulness activities to help with the added stress and anxiety of the holidays. Check out the following link for resources on Mindfulness from the University of Southern California, and also check out the short video below on what Mindfulness is:

Thank you for your hard work, dedication and remember;

At CVM we work HARD, we dream BIG, we believe in OURSELVES and we never, ever , GIVE UP!
