From the Principal

We hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. There is so much to be grateful for at Lamkin Elementary and we are thankful to work with your children each day. November was a month full of fun celebrations and events.

- Lamkin welcomed veterans on Veterans Day with a special choir performance .

- Our Grandparents Day was a special time for our students to perform for our guests. The grandparents were beaming with pride.

- Thank you very much for your support of our annual fall bookfair. Your support of the bookfair raised $4,000 for our library at Lamkin.

December brings a lot of excitement and learning. Please read below for details about what is happening at Lamkin in December.

Lamkin Sock Collection:

Lamkin Elementary is accepting donations of new socks to benefit Cy-Hope's Hope Centers. The Hope Centers provide needed resources and services in underserved communities in our area. All sock sizes are welcome and we will deliver the donated socks on December 16th. Collection boxes will be in the front foyer of Lamkin and we will have a grade level competition. To learn more about the Hope Centers, visit https://www.cy-hope.org/hope-centers.

Polar Express Day at Lamkin:

On Thursday, December 15th students and staff are encouraged to wear pajamas to school. Students will enjoy an all school reading of The Polar Express.

Holiday Party Day:

Students will enjoy a party with their classmates and teachers during the school day on December 16, 2022. PTO is providing the party refreshments and activities to be enjoyed by students. Thank you PTO! (This is a student only event.)
