Athletic Campaign

  • The Cardington Track team competed in the KMAC Championship on Tuesday. Despite having smaller teams, the team competed well finishing 3rd overall. The girls 4 x 400 team won their relay. Other top performers were Maggie Hallabrin finishing 2nd in the 800 m by under 1 second, Hazel Jolliff won the long jump and finished 2nd in the 300 m hurdles and Meghan Greenawalt finished 2nd in the high jump. Top performers for the boys were Aiden Reitmire finishing 6th in the 800 m with an impressive time of 2:05 and Jason Bockbrader finished 2nd in the high jump.
  • Softball will officially start their post-season campaign this Thursday as the number 1 seed in the Central District Div. III softball tournament. The Pirates will face Columbus North International in the sectional final. The Lady Pirates are currently 19-1. On Tuesday, the Lady Pirates knocked off the Lancaster Gales, #2 team in the state for Div. I with a score of 3-2.
  • The boys are finishing regular season play winning 4 games in a row before falling 8-7 to River Valley on May 9th. The team also secured the 6th seed in the Central District Div. IV baseball bracket. The team will square off against Delaware Christian on May 18th at home to start sectional play. The baseball team is currently 9-10.

Guidance News


  • 2022-2023 student registration must be completed by August 5, 2022 before schedules can be picked up. Snap Codes will be mailed out with the year end report cards and emailed to the primary email account for each student.
  • Syntero is excited to announce group prevention services for all students who attend school in Morrow county at no cost to families. Groups last for one week (Monday through Thursday) and are offered multiple times throughout the summer beginning the week of June 6th. Please follow this link for more information.
  • TRECA Summer School offers opportunities to get students back on track by making up requred courses. Please follow this link for more information.

  • Summer Lab Opportunity - computers and internet will be available in the high school computer lab for students taking summer school classes. We will have the high school computer lab open starting on June 8th MTW from 9am - 12pm through August 2nd.
  • Schedules for the 2022-2023 school year will be available for pick-up in August with each class having its own designated date & time.
  • Please make sure to keep updated on student grades through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

News from the Quarterdeck

  • Our Spanish 3 class were involved in a Chilean Miner emergency experience as a vehicle to connect Spanish vocabulary and culture. Hard hats, safety vests, and flash lights helped deepen the learning experience.
  • Cardington Improv - On May 13th, Cardington Improv will be presenting its first ever (crowd-sourced) Musical. The show is currently being written by members of the team and features songs submitted by students and staff in the district.
