We need many parent volunteers/chaperones, so start checking your availability now!
Thank you!
We want to thank you for your cooperation at drop off/pickup time! By asking your kids to get out of the car as soon as you are by the curve, and walking them across the parking lot, we keep our students safe while really speeding up the process!
From the Nurse
Middle school and high school students are allowed to carry ONE day’s dose of over the counter medicine with them to school. This generally is one tablet of medicine. It must be in the original container, with the label on it.
With cold/flu season upon us, this is just a reminder of the CPS policy and includes medicine such as Tylenol, ibuprofen, cold medicine, throat lozenges, cough drops.
If you have any questions, please contact Gentry health office at 573-214-3246
Lost & Found
If your student has misplaced personal items we keep a Lost & Found area in the cafeteria where they can look for them. If the item is valuable, they should check in the main office. We recommend your student labels all their items for easy identification (Lunch box, water bottle, coat...), this will ensure easier return.

Lunch at Gentry
Parents are always welcome to enjoy an occasional lunch at Gentry with their student, but before you visit we thought you would like a better understanding of our lunchtime guidelines. Our guidelines below are quite simple and by being aware of them we can hopefully alleviate undo parental and student stress on the day of your lunchtime visit.
- You are welcome to purchase a school lunch through the student lunch line. Our cashiers only accept cash, however, and are unable to make change due to our large student population. An adult school lunch costs $ 3.75.
- If you wish to carry a lunch in on the day of your visit be sure that the lunch you are bringing in is only for you and your child to share. Due to the overall health concerns of our student population, we cannot have a parent share lunch items or bring in a lunch for any other student other than their own child.
- Lastly, we do not accept any lunch time food deliveries from local food delivery companies for students.
PTSA Meeting
Please, join us for the first PTSA meeting of the year, which will be on Tuesday, August 28th at 6:00 p.m. in the Media Center.
