Who I Am
By: Anthony Brady Religion III
Religious?
I strive to know God better, to be better, and to serve him.
Who Am I?
I am 17 years old and I go to St. Michael High school. I like to fish and be in the outdoors. I am a member of the track team, I throw. My favorite color is red and I have lived in about 6 states across the United States.
What Does God Want From Me?
I do not know yet what the lord is calling me to. Some think I should be a priest due to my deep understanding of theology. But I do not know yet. I pray that he will show me. I trust in him that he will guide me. But only if I am willing to follow in which I am. But what I do know is that I will grow to be a strong, good willed Catholic.
How will I Grow with God and Myself
Praying is one of the best ways to strengthen your relationship with God. I pray at least once a day and that is at night before I go to sleep. I should pray more often throughout my day. I could also say a rosary at night. I altar serve almost every other weekend which is good service for God, but i can do more. I will follow his laws concerning my actions and my body. Theology of the Body taught me many principles and terms referring to my behavior and how I should live at this time in my life.
I need to remain pure. I learned in TOB that being abstinent is the best thing I can do for myself and my future wife. I need to live a life of celibacy which means being abstinent. In doing this, I will be following the will of the father and I will have saved myself for my future wife. Also I will learn self control and will grow up in the process. This is what you need to have a healthy, sustainable marriage. Saint Pope John Paul the second said, "Marriage is an act of will that signifies and involves a mutual gift, which unites the spouses and binds them to their eventual souls, with whom they make up a sole family." Remaining abstinent is how I will learn to control my will as the will is a very important component of marriage just like JPII said.
Here are Some of My Favorite Qutes

-St. Jerome - “The nation doesn’t simply need what we have. It needs what we are.”
-St. Teresia Benedicta - “We always find that those who walked closest to Christ were those who had to bear the greatest trials.” -St. Teresa of Avila
- “You must ask God to give you power to fight against the sin of pride which is your greatest enemy – the root of all that is evil, and the failure of all that is good. For God resists the proud.” -St. Vincent de Paul
