Summer School

Summer school is an opportunity for your student to refresh and reinforce both math and reading academics, along with a daily enrichment activity. We will be partnering with the public library again this year, allowing your student to participate in their summer reading program as well. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Summer school is for students entering kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall. The days run from 8:30-11:30, enabling students to eat lunch before returning home if so desired. This summer the classes will begin on June 6th and finish on June 30th.

It's not too late! If your child was not pre-enrolled, you can come to the school and enroll them on the first day of summer school. Summer school will take place in the high school building.

Summer Meals

USDA Summer Food Service Program will return to Fowler Schools again this year. Children ages 1-18 are invited to join us for free meals.

DATES: May 31, 2022 - August 5, 2022

*Meals will not be served on July 4, 2022*

TIMES:

Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

PLACE: Fowler Grade School Cafeteria

MEALS WILL BE SERVED MONDAY - FRIDAY

Adult meals are available for $5.00

Summer Conditioning

Fowler will be providing transportation to Meade for the following weights/conditioning session open to boys and girls entering 7th-12th grade next year:

Begins June 1st

Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays

Leave Fowler at 7:10 a.m.

Session from 7:30-9:00 a.m.

Return to Fowler by 9:30 a.m.

2022-23 School Meals

After 2 years of receiving COVID-19 relief funding, the USDA and KSDE has informed Kansas school districts that the School Nutrition Program will be returning to its traditional food service program and funding for the 2022-2023 school year. Families will have the opportunity to complete a Free and Reduced Lunch Application in August 2022. Meal prices for the 2022-23 school are anticipated to be: Breakfast (K-6) $2.10, Lunch (K-6) $2.60, and PK Snack $1.05.

FHS Student Competes in SkillsUSA Diesel Technology Contest

On April 28, 2022 FHS junior, Zach McLachlan, competed and placed 4th in the high school division of SkillsUSA Diesel Technology Contest. Zach was dual-enrolled in the Dodge City Community College Diesel Tech program during the 2021-2022 school year.

Track Teams Finish Strong at League & State

Many junior high and high school tracksters brought home medals from the Santa Fe Trail league track meet held at Garden City Community College. In addition, the high school boys team took first place overall in the league!

3 Goldbugs qualified for the state competition where they took 10th place as a boys team out of 56 teams. State medal winners were Elijah Zortman and Trace Sellars. Congratulations!
