Important Information for the 2021-2022 School Year
Inaugural Year at Jefferson High School
Dear Cavalier Families,
As we approach the beginning of August, the excitement and preparation for the inaugural school year at Jefferson High School is growing daily. It truly is exciting to see the excitement grow not only within the staff at JHS, but also with the hundreds of students and families who have attended summer connections, summer camps, work outs, tours and rehearsals! That excitement also is resonating within the community, and we look forward to a truly special 2021-2022 school year. In a few short weeks, the planning, preparation, excitement and hard work will all become reality with students walking the halls and school taking place. We have a very talented and motivated staff that are eager to educate our students!

Cavalier Day is where students complete the tasks of school pictures, parking passes, busing information and passes, chromebook insurance, activities passes, yearbook sales and more! Please note that Freshman will be completing both Cavalier Day and Freshman Orientation in the same day.

Freshman Orientation
Welcome to high school! You are invited to Cavalier Day on Friday, August 13th. Cavalier Day for freshmen has two parts. One part includes parents and takes about 30 minutes. It includes ID pictures, schedules, lunch accounts, and a host of other important first steps as we start life at Jefferson High School. The second part is Freshman Orientation from 9:00 - 1:30. This action-packed session is the perfect way to start high school. It's led by over 100 upperclassmen. (They did eight hours of training to get ready!) This day is to connect with old friends, meet new friends, tour the building, feast on pizza with 500 other people, and experience high school for the first time. See you there!

"GOLD RUSH" PST Back to School Night
Gold Rush is the annual back to school night at JHS. This is a great opportunity to meet your student’s teacher, walk the schedule, and see the set-up of the school. Gold Rush night will go from 5:30-9pm on August 19th. We plan to run open house format from 5:30-7:00pm for 10-12th graders and their parents/guardians. 9th graders and their parents/guardians will start in the gym at 6:45pm. After meeting in the gym, 9th graders and their parents/guardians will be taken through their schedule and meet their teachers.
