Updates from Manassas Park Middle School - 11/30/2018

Week 14 - What an AMAZING week!

This week featured our honor roll ceremony for first quarter, Mix it Up at lunch on Thursday, and Multicultural Night! (Check out all of the pictures below!)

These kind of big events require so much long-term planning and coordination. A HUGE thank you to our Multicultural Night team, led by Ms. Chiu, for gathering up all of the performances and food - and another HUGE thank you to all of our volunteer parents and students who provided their cultural foods, performances, and experiences with all who attended!

Lots of pictures this week - check them out!

Don't miss - there are upcoming (free) 6th grade and Civics class field trips, so be on the lookout for permission slips next week. Details below!

And a teaser for next week - we will be unveiling our renovated and modified Library Learning Commons!

Our 346 Honor Roll Recipients! (3.5+ GPA for 1Q)

Great Teacher Tweets! (Click on each to see captions or video!)

Mix it Up at Lunch!

During Lunch on Thursday, students were asked to sit with new social groups - determined by the color of their shirt. Students got a chance to meet new people, interact with different peers (and teachers!) It was a great activity designed to promote meeting new people in the same school building!

Need Winter Clothing? Jackets? See Ms. Salas in the counseling office!

If you are in need of winter clothing, Ms. Salas also has a supply of donated items for students as well. Get in touch if you have any questions!
